Reben
This Dutch natural rhubarb liqueur is handmade in the Netherlands, following an authentic family recipe. The story of Reben began a few years ago in a small village in Friesland. Every year, Geerben’s family gathered on New Year’s Eve, where, according to tradition, the mother made rhubarb liqueur with fresh rhubarb from their own vegetable garden. To this day, the foundation of her family recipe remains the same.
Our hand-harvested rhubarb is a seasonal vegetable that grows on Dutch soil from April to August. Throughout this season, we exclusively use locally grown and fresh rhubarb for our liqueur from Limburg. Once the rhubarb is ready to be harvested, this can happen once or twice a year.
Reben liqueur extracts 100% of the color and flavor from natural rhubarb.
